Yes ladies and gents get your glad rags on because Manchester Pride is back and now celebrating its 21st Birthday!
The event is mainly held in the gay village in and around Canal Street – home of Manchester’s massive gay scene – and includes a big carnival parade and ten days filled with tons of events and activities.
The big colourful parade of floats and walking groups will be at 1pm on Saturday (27th) and is not to be missed!
Over the the 10 days expect lots of live music including Alexandra Burke, The Sugarbabes, Eurovision boy band Blue, and oh yes… the ever popular, 4 Poofs and a Piano on Monday (29th)! There will also be top DJ’s, funfair rides, dancing arenas, chill-out and family areas, market & community stalls and much much more throughout the whole weekend!
All this is a huge celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and attracts more than 70,000 people every year!
Make sure to be there, experience this impressive community and enjoy the variety of entertainment and activities! Get more information on the official Manchester Pride 2009 website:
