Here at Hatters Hostels we are truly committed to leading the industry in minimising the impact of our activities on the environment.

We love the world we live in and work hard to ensure our future guests (and the rest of the world!) enjoy a green and healthy planet for centuries to come.

For example we only change the bed sheets after four guests have used them… JUST KIDDING!! Of course all our guests have fresh, clean linen.

In all seriousness, these are the key points to our ‘green strategy’ to help limit the effect of our operations on both the local and global environment:

• Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.
• Minimise toxic emissions through the selection, use and the source of our power requirements.
• Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst our customers and suppliers.
• Source and promote all our printed material to minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution.
• Meet or exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to Hatters Hostels Limited.
• Use an accredited program to offset the greenhouse gas emissions generated by our activities.
• Serve only free-trade tea and coffee.
