HMV Institute

Downtown! No finer place for sure, so come down to Brum’s freshest and trendiest addition to music venues – HMV Institute in Digbeth – this place is as cool as it gets!

Originally built as a methodist congregational chapel at the turn of the 1900’s, the building has had its share in good times bad times and after a multi million pound internal and external refurbishment has reopened in September this year to provide the music lovers of the West Midlands and hopefully elsewhere with a venue to be truly proud of.

Not only you will find many many new and very cool bands such as Crystal Fighters, Kele, Young Guns, Drums, Hurts, We Are Scientists, Klaxons, Kate Nash, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Foals, Darwin Deez, Wombats, Mystery Jets, Nouvelle Vague, Magnetic Man and more playing the HMV’s 3 beautiful venues Library, Institute and The Temple. You might also find yourself having a new age fun with a vintage feel at one of the super messy and fun club nights and events – Full Moon, Adventures in Stereo, The Catapult Club, Electric City, Jagerbomb and Lip.

All the indie, soul, motown, reggae, old school hip-hop, funk, acoustic, dupstep, garage, grunge, rock, grime, electro, drum and base, fidget, hip-hop, ragga, commercial mashup, the best of the 90’s,the latest dancefloor remix, house, techno, break, disco, funk, tech house, party anathem lovers – the experienced and very cool resident and guest DJs of HMV Institute will take good care of you!
