This may be a silly question but do you have Air Conditioning in the summer?

    • Roxy Hatters Roxy Hatters

Hi. Unfortunately we don’t have air conditioning in the rooms – it doesn’t really get hot enough in Manchester! The building has big, thick walls that keep the rooms cool in summer and warm in winter, so your stay will be just right.

      Regards Hatters.

Hi, I wondered if every kind of room.. (4, 8 or 18 bed) has the free right of using a luggage room? And I mean, big one suitcases btw. Thanks!

  17. Emmeline Hatters Emmeline Hatters

    Hi Yes It does :)

  18. SpanishTraveller

    Hi,

I have read your FAQs but I want to be sure about everything before booking. I am arriving at Manchester Airport from Spain(with Ryanair) at 18:25 on the 12nd of August. I would like to know how to get to your hostel from the airport and if your reception is opened 24hours. Also I would like to know if you have any place to put our baggages under lock and key.

Please, answer as soon as possible because I want to book it.

    • Emmeline Hatters Emmeline Hatters

      Hey there!!
First of all, it is super easy to get from Manchester Airport to our hostel!! You will just need to catch a train from the airport, which come along every 15 mins, and takes 10mins to Manchester Picadilly station, which in turn is only a 5 min walk to our hostel!!
Also, yes our hostel has a 24hr reception, so you’re welcome to arrive at any time!!
Finally, we do have multiple options for locking up your belongings, including lockers and a free of charge luggage room!!
Hope all this helped, and we see you soon!!!

  19. Luciana

Just a short note to tell that I had a good time at the hostel.
Bed was comfortable, all areas clean and all the staff was very helpful and friendly (specially the guy working there early afternoon on the 22nd and Beth).
It was a good choice to stay there and I will recommend it to friends going to Manchester.
    Thanks!

    Hi
i’ve booked a mixed dorm for 8 people but 2 of the group have had to cancel so i was wondering what your policies on cancelling beds are?
    thanks

    • Luke Hatters Luke Hatters

      Hi Molly,

Sorry to hear that, we allow individuals to cancel up until 12pm the day before arrival (24 hours) without being charged, groups however have the right to cancel up until 12pm 48 hours before arrival without being charged. Anyone cancelling out of our policy will still be charged, its just to cover the cost of the beds that we could have sold if it had been cancelled within our policy, that’s all.

      Many Thanks,
      The Hatters Team

      Hey there!

You can go by bus (either no.250 or 263)
The best way though is to take the Metro.

      - Just buy an Old Trafford Return Ticket and get
off at the Old Trafford stop

I stayed at Newton Street for two nights. As a member of the YHA, I usually use theirs.

I was impressed with Hatters. Nice social, friendly atmosphere. Staff very helpful. Conveniently situated for trains, buses and shopping – not to mention the real ale pubs and CAMRA’s National Heritage pubs!

Staying with you soon; is bedding provided?
Also do you have lockers for us to store small bags?

I used this Hostel back at the end of May, the people at the front desk didn’t mind me dropping in a few times for directions and use of their toilet, plus when I did decide to get a room there they were really friendly and I’d highly suggest people to use this Hostel if you can.

Hi Will, all Hatters hostels including Manchester have a 24hr reception! You are given a security pass upon check-in that you will need to show to our night porters for access back into the hostel at anytime. Look forward to seeing you!
