A prodigious musician, Zak (or Zakkkchh to his scouse mates) started learning guitar at the age of 6 and fronted his first band out of a friend’s garage aged 10. Having achieved a lifetime ambition of playing the famous Cavern Club stage before his 15th birthday, Zak now has his eyes firmly set on the summer festival stages of Britain.
Zak, too can be seen flying up and down the left wing across Liverpool’s bog-like Sunday League football pitches, sadly, with little effect: Zak rarely escapes the hook from his manager at half-time and spends the second half handing water bottles to his weary team-mates. His season ticket at Anfield is consolation enough, though he watches much of the action with his hands over his eyes, rather than in the throes of endless renditions of “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.
Zak is also well accustomed to having a backpack slung across his shoulders, though his camping skills resemble his ball, rather than his finger picking skills with tents often blowing off in the middle of the night on summer trips across the continent. This means hostels are Zak’s preferred accommodation and he can often be seen after his band’s gigs in Manchester and Birmingham with a towel around his head at Liverpool Hatters’ sister hostels. Give him a tap and he might play you a private encore.
